1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and PT. Alpha Omega Delta ("AoD", "we", "us"). They cover the Ace of Dreams app for iOS and Android and the website aceofdreams.com (together, "AoD").
You accept these Terms when you tap Continue on the sign-in screen, below the line: "By continuing, you agree to the Terms of Service and confirm you're 18 or older. See our Privacy Policy." We record which version you accepted.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
These Terms are published in English and Bahasa Indonesia. Note for counsel confirm that the Indonesian version prevails for Indonesian users, under UU 24/2009.
2. Who can join
- You must be 18 or older. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it.
- AoD is invitation-only. You can join only with a valid Invite from a Member or from AoD.
- Applying on our waitlist doesn't guarantee you'll receive an Invite.
- You may have only one account, and you must sign in with an account of your own.
3. Your account
- You sign in with an account you already have. Keep that account secure; you're responsible for what happens under your AoD account.
- Your Handle (your public @name) is permanent. You can't change it yourself; if it needs correcting, contact us and we'll decide.
- Keep the information on your account accurate.
- Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your account.
4. Invites and Keys
AoD grows through personal invitations.
- Keys. You receive Starter Keys when you finish joining (currently 5), and one more Key for each Level you reach, up to the lifetime limit shown in the app (currently 9). These numbers are set in the app's rules and may change going forward.
- Invites. Sharing a Key creates an Invite that one person can use; the Key shows as Pending. You can cancel the invitation while nobody has used it: the link stops working and the Key becomes Available again.
- A Key is spent once used. When your Invitee completes registration, the Key shows as Invited and is spent for good. It never comes back.
- Personal, not for sale. Keys and Invites are personal. You must not sell, trade or publicly advertise them (for example on marketplaces or social media offers).
- Abuse. We may revoke Invites and close accounts created through abuse of Keys or Invites.
- Your Army. People who join with your Keys become your Army; the relationship is permanent and one level only. You aren't responsible for how your Invitees behave. If an account is closed for abuse, Army rewards connected to it stop.
5. Your content
"Content" means what you post or send on AoD: Moments, Journals, photos, videos, comments, messages and similar.
- You own your content.
- Licence to run AoD. You give AoD a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, display and share your content with the audience you chose, for as long as the content is on AoD. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people already received (for example messages) and backups kept for a limited time. Note for counsel licence scope and territory.
- Featured Content. AoD may feature content you shared with everyone in our own curation and marketing (in the app, on our website and on our social channels), always credited with your @handle. You can opt out at any time in Settings; opting out stops new uses. Note for counsel effect of opt-out on existing materials.
- We never sell or license your content to third parties.
- Your responsibility. Only post content you have the right to share, and don't post other people's personal information without their permission.
6. Community rules
AoD is a place for people who travel to feel something. Treat others the way you'd want to be treated. These rules apply to Moments, Journals, comments, messages and In the Room.
You must not:
- harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone;
- post hate speech, or content that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar;
- post illegal content, sexual content involving minors, or content that promotes violence or self-harm;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent your identity;
- share other people's private information or photos without permission, including recording or photographing other people's Room chats (Room chats are private and are wiped at 06:00 local time each day);
- send spam, scams, or unsolicited advertising;
- try to break, overload, scrape or get around AoD's security, or use AoD in a way that breaks the law.
You can report content and members in the app. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules. Note for counsel align with Indonesian content regulations for electronic system operators, e.g. Permenkominfo 5/2020.
7. Rewards: DREAM$, EXP and Levels
DREAM$
DREAM$ launches after the first release of AoD. This section applies from the day it launches, and we'll tell you in the app.
- DREAM$ (D$) is AoD travel credit worth US$1 per D$. When you spend it on a booking, it's converted into the booking's currency at that day's rate (for example, D$ 5 takes the Rupiah value of US$5 off a Rupiah booking). Note for counsel confirm under Indonesia's Currency Law (UU 7/2011) and Bank Indonesia e-money rules — prototype ADR 0015 requires a Legal and Finance review before DREAM$ launches.
- You earn DREAM$ through the rewards program (for example when people in your Army complete eligible trips). You can't buy it.
- DREAM$ has no cash value, can't be withdrawn, exchanged for money or transferred to another person.
- You can use DREAM$ only on AoD bookings, up to the share of each booking set in the app's rules.
- DREAM$ earned from a booking is pending until 14 days after check-out, and is cancelled if the booking is cancelled or refunded before then.
- Each amount of DREAM$ expires 24 months after it becomes available. We'll warn you in the app before it expires.
- Earning from your Army pauses if you haven't completed a trip booked through AoD in the last 12 months. Nothing is earned during a pause.
- DREAM$ is forfeited when your account is deleted or closed for abuse.
EXP and Levels
- You earn EXP for activity on AoD (for example completing trips, posting Moments and checking in). EXP decides your Level; higher Levels earn higher reward rates.
- Levels are reviewed once a year. If your EXP is below the level's safe point at your review, you drop a level.
Rules can change
The exact rates, thresholds and limits are shown in the app and may change going forward, with notice in the app. Changes never take away DREAM$ that is already available to you. Note for counsel confirm notice requirements under consumer protection law.
8. Bookings
You can book Stays (places to sleep, such as hotels and villas) in the app.
[Placeholder: booking terms — who you contract with (AoD, the hotel supplier or the Stay), prices and currency, taxes and fees, payment, each rate's cancellation policy, refunds, changes, no-shows and complaints. To be drafted with the Booking Epic before booking launches.]
9. Suspension and closing accounts
- We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, including the Community rules or the rules on Invites and Keys, or if the law requires it.
- We'll tell you by email and explain why, unless there's an urgent safety or legal reason not to.
- You can appeal by writing to [email protected] within 30 days. We'll review it and reply.
- If your account is closed for abuse, your DREAM$ is forfeited and Army rewards connected to it stop.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Settings → Profile → Delete my account. There's a 30-day grace period during which you can change your mind; our Privacy Policy explains exactly what happens. These Terms end when your account is deleted, except the sections that by their nature continue (for example content already shared, liability and law).
11. Our service
- We work hard to keep AoD available and working well, but we may change, pause or stop features, and the service may sometimes be unavailable.
- Some features depend on third parties (for example sign-in providers and venue information). We aren't responsible for their services.
- Places, venues and information shown in AoD are for inspiration; check details (opening hours, prices, safety) before you go.
12. Liability
Note for counsel draft a limitation of liability consistent with Indonesia's Consumer Protection Law (UU 8/1999), in particular its rules against unlawful exoneration clauses (klausula baku). Include indemnity only if lawful.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under Indonesian law that can't be limited.
13. Changes to these Terms
When we make a material change, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email and in the app. If you keep using AoD after the change takes effect, you accept the new Terms; if you don't agree, you can delete your account before then. For some changes we'll ask you to accept again in the app. Each version is dated with a short summary of what changed.
14. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia.
If a dispute arises, please contact us first at [email protected]; we'll try to resolve it amicably. If that doesn't work, the dispute will be settled by Note for counsel the District Court of West Jakarta, or arbitration at BANI.
